Take two fast food conglomerates. One comes out with a new product and advertises it a certain way. You would think that the other would respond with an ad showing the virtues of their product in the same way. Instead you get something completely different. I found it funny that it revolves around the Fish sandwiches of the two chains. It appears that one is touting its quality and the other its value. One says hey, ours is made out of real fish and in fact only one particular type of fish. The other says hey, it's some kind of fish, but you can get it cheap and hey watch our funny commercial. The youtube links follow so you can watch for yourself. I'm not sure I like the insinuation that hey cheap is better so eat it kind of marketing argument. That's just me. I always like to look at marketing mumbo jumbo in commercials and I am usually amused by it all, especially the fine print. |

Having put some items up onto ebay, I was thinking about the sniping aspect to the auctions and how most people wait until the auction gets into the last minutes and then makes their bids and hopes that no one notices before the item ends. Having thought this was pretty unfair, I was thinking of a way to correct this problem. The only I thought of was that when a bid is made and the bid has less than say, 15 minutes remaining, a new bid resets the timer to 15 minutes and so on and so forth so that sniping is pretty difficult. Of course I don't know if that would really annoy people or not on ebay. Probably would since they have their model all set up and changing it would annoy people. Just a thought to make things a little more fair for the seller and buyers who don't have the tools, time, talent to snipe an auction. |

It's late again.. I try to get to bed earlier and it doesn't seem to happen. I try to get some stuff done at home and it takes me later and I also try to relax from the day. I was so tired when I went to sleep last night that I forgot to take my contacts out and slept with them in. Today I had the worst headache which I can only attribute to the contacts (since my headache was right around my eyes in the sinus area) ( Apple Bread ) I'm hoping that I can get some days off next week so that I can rest and maybe get on track with some exercising and school work. Time for sleep.. |

Well just got done watching the debates. It was interesting. I'm interested in watching the rest of them now. I hope that everyone else got a chance to see it and not just listen to the commentary/analyst view. In other news, I'm getting better from my soreness from exercise and can finally move again. I had a dinner of Spaghetti, Meatballs, and Sausage tonight, I made it last night, simmered for an hour or so and then let it simmer today for a couple of hours. It was real good. |

Well I'm up doing homework.. Fun fun.. You would think I would have grown out of homework by now, but I guess not. On top of that I'm sore as the tongue on a professional asphalt licker. I took the aerobics class yesterday at Drew, then I took the power yoga class today. All I can say is that doing anything with my legs brings me great pain. And tomorrow I look for more punishment when I take the regular yoga class. Then the rest of the week is regular exercise. I'm really going all out for pain. :) Considering my last post of people asking me what I think of them. People can be free to tell me what they think of me. (Try not to be too mean.. *grin*) |

So I forgot to post yesterday. I wanted to share my relaxing moment of the day. I was driving in my car, windows open with the breeze washing over me. I love that feeling where the air is just a little on the side of cool so you can feel it. The sun was starting to set giving things a happy orange glow. I was driving up I-287 around the stretch where all that's really around is trees, rocks and road. The smell of burning wood assaulted the nose. A mix CD plays and all seems right for a while. No stress, no drama. It was a good time. It's funny how those little moments seem to come randomly throughout the day/week/month/year. It seems to be random memories. The above being a mixture of campground memories (nature and such) and many night where I was driving to/from Drew visiting friends (which I tended to do at dusk/night and had time to relax on the way knowing I would get to see friends) Definitely a break from the stress of the beginning of the semester. |

Today is Monday and that means it's Monday Night Football time. However, it's been a long time since I would go out and hang out with people. I would watch football with my dad and my friends. We would drink beer and eat wings. We would have a great time. I really miss that. Most of my friends here are really not into that and I can't blame them. It's just not what they are into. However I do miss going out and enjoying the company and relaxation of having a fun time on Monday nights. The only time I can really revisit that now is for Super Bowl when I go down to my parent's house in Delaware and my dad and I go out to watch the game. I wish it could be more. |

I spent some of the evening composing some sort of mixed CD. It's one of those relaxing things I do. I'm reminded of High Fidelity somewhat. It was almost compulsive for that character. I wouldn't say that I'm compulsive about it, but I do enjoy doing it. Something new to listen to in the car for the commute. It's funny how people treat music. It's almost like politics. Sometimes you have to be careful what you say about it and what people think about this and that. I usually keep mostly quiet about it. I have my favorites and whatnot. They usually show through in my mixes. Well I guess I'll see how this mix turns out. |

Work today, more music class. Music class should be interesting. It's very philosophical in ways. Lots of listening exercises and other stuff. I wonder how the semester will play out. I hope it will be okay. I stayed late today to make up time from class. Seems like there isn't a shortage of computers though. I guess that's good since I won't be out of work. Hopefully next week will be a little less hectic though. It'll give me time to go to the gym. I also hope that we get information about the yoga and aerobics classes. I want to take some of that since I think it will get me into exercising again so I'll lose some weight. |

| So the semester begins and so does my really busy days. I have classes every weekday this semester and I'll be tired all the time now. I'm thinking I'm going to do some TOE night this semester to unwind. I should really go to the gym too. I'm thinking of getting on the treadmill and relaxing. Hopefully if I work hard enough I can dig myself out from under the computers I found myself under. Here's to hoping. | ||||
